All true artists, whether they know it or not, create from a place of no-mind, from inner stillness.

Artist Statement

Art is a passion that anyone can pursue I pursued it in the form of game design and animation. The reason I chose to make my art style centered on game design and animation is because I want to go into the game design and animation industry and I hope to do a little in game programming if possible. My portfolio reflects skill such as value, proportion, and the most important creativity which are all used in this career and your imagination plays a big role as well. I get my ideas for my game and animation characters from previous and current anime shows and games, they also inspire me to come up with new and improved ideas for things it also causes me to create my own scenarios for the shows I watch and games I play. During the last few weeks I have improved my contour, outline, value, details, and highlight skills. This skills can be seen in some of my latest art works such as Hitentsu, Utsugi Ryogi, and Phantom. I mainly incorporated highlighting, and outlining in my creation of Hitentsu this mainly applies to the pieces of flesh missing off of his body there is also some value there as well. For Utsugi Ryogi I incorporated more details and value in this character by this I mean his costume and the certain parts on it. And for Phantom I paid more attention to contour and to detail such as the curvy lines I used. The reason I chose to go into the career of game design and animation is because ever since I started playing video games and watching anime it fascinated me and basically sparked my imagination into overdrive. As I watched anime and played video games I started to think how I can improve this video games or this anime shows. This soon caused me to create my own characters and stories or my own characters and places I can put in the game or the anime itself. I am currently studding the art styles of some of my favorite anime and video game artist. Some of the anime artist includes masashi kishimoto, tite kubo, eiichiro oda, and mashima hiro and some game designers that are my favorite are Joe Madureira, Nathan Phail-Liff, Tetsuya Nomura, and Megane Kikuya. One artist I have been studding is lately is Hayao Miyazaki and his style of art focuses on a lot of movement and water color. The movement style is what I would like to base some of my future art works on.
